Eggs, How Good Are They?

My husband, who can polish off 3-4 store eggs, says 2 farm eggs are as many as he can finish bc they're "richer". I think the biggest difference for me is the missing sulphur aftertaste.

I usually rinse the egg under cold running water to clean it up and put it in the refrigerator.

You don't want to wash eggs unless you are going to use them immediately. They have a protective bloom on them that keeps bacteria out. When you wash them, that bloom is washed off and they are then open to bacteria getting into them... that's when people may get a bad egg and get sick.

If they have poop on them first: you need to get your chickens from roosting in the nest boxes and second: use a paper towel to gently rub them off. If it's really sticky poop you can get the paper towel slightly damp but only wipe right where you have to, not the whole egg.
