We got ourselves some chicks in the middle of March and I have been working on building the coop. The chicks are getting big and are a lot of fun watching them grow. Hopefully the coop will be done and in by this Saturday. I have to say that Watering the chicks had improved since I upgraded to Watering Nipples. No more poop or wood shavings in their water! Plus, I don't have to change it for times a day.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Glad you are enjoying your chicks and good luck on the rest of the coop build! Nice that the new watering system is working out to keep things cleaner and dryer. Sounds like you have found Chicken Television, just can't stop watching!
Be sure to check out the BYC Learning Center, lots of good articles on all aspects of chicken keeping. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center And it is always fun to check out your state thread for chicken keeping neighbors https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/24/utah

Hi and :welcome

That does sound like a good idea for water, we didn't raise many chicks so we didn't get any special equipment - there used to be water everywhere, so lots of time spent cleaning. :p

Enjoy the site!

Good luck with your poultry raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know. Don't forget to take a look at BYC's very useful learning center (If you haven't already)! The learning center as well as the forum should answer your questions! Glad to have you here! See you around the forum.

Welcome to BYC!

So glad you are enjoying your new chicks. I have never tried water nipples, but have heard so much about them. Maybe one of these days I will take the plunge as well.

Make yourself at home here on BYC and welcome to our flock!
