Can you plant verbena in the run?:/

First,
There is a page of a list of plants that other BYC members have successfully grown in their runs and verbena is on that list. You will probably have to provide some protection for it, at least until it gets established. I have rosemary and lavender growing outside my run and grapevines inside and over top.

Bought a grape bush
I hadn't even thought about growing any plans in/around the run. I have two young grapevines, but I don't think I want to put them where the flock can get to it...or else we'll have no grapes for ourselves. But the ladies will certainly enjoy the fruits of our vines, once the grapes start growing.

Wow Gallo! That looks awesome! I might look into transferring my vines when they're old enough (right now, they're in portable, raised garden beds).

@KrazyKooKooKim , yes, all the greenery on the run is from the vines. The grapevines do best in full sun, but there are varieties that do better in partial shade too.

Great idea on the grape vines. Been thinking of a way to put in something natural to help with drafts and drifts in the winter time.
Elderberries. Any kind. My chickens like sitting in the shade tucked underneath, as well as eat the berries and some of the leaves.
