All are welcome to come and shop, look, or talk chicken.

To setup to sell you need to have a permit to sell poultry from NC Ag Department.

The statesville sale is the closest to Lenoir. There is a Poultry Show Oct 25th at the Burke County Fairgrounds in Morganton. There should be quite a bit for sale there.

Right now I know of:
A few pair of Runner ducks
2 pair of Cayuga
2 pair of Snowy Calls
Blue, Black, and Splash Standard Cochin Chicks
Some Cochin Roosters
Some pairs of Standard Cochins
Rhode Island Red Chicks(standards and bantams)
Pair of Mottled Japanese Bantams
A few small Mottled Japanese Bantams
14 Pied Pearl Guineas - 2 weeks old
 
When will we see more info on the poultrt show and sale in Burke County?/ There is a small farm animal and poultry auction that takes place on Friday nights in Wilkesboro. I went 2 weeks ago and was very pleased with prices paid for chickens and ducks.

week old mixed chicks and maybe some roosters
Seramas
Ducks: Cayuga, Runners, Snowy Calls, East Indies: Chickens, Standard Cochins( blue,splash black, silver laced, golden laced, buff), Millie Flure, Rhode Island Reds- Standard and Bantams, Mottled Japanese, and probably more
Buff Orpingtons-hens and roosters, Bantam Cochins, Mixed Pullets.

Will there be back yard chickens besides the fancy chickens? I am really upset because my neighbors dog got out and killed 4 of my precious babies
