I bought these off a man today that buys in pure bred eggs, hatches them and sells on the chicks so they could be anything!

No. 1- Single comb, feathered legs

No.2- Single comb, clean legs. Slightly darker stripes down its back

No.3- Single comb, feathered legs

I don't know if these guys are bantams or large fowl although no.3 is smaller than the other two!

If the first chick had a pea comb, I'd say it was a light Brahma. Maybe a silver penciled Cochin? The second one looks like a red Sexlink. And the 3rd one looks like a buff Cochin (possibly a bantam since you said its much smaller).

This picture is NOT mine, but it shows off wheaten Marans the best:

Their wing feathers are much more brown than either of your feather legged chicks, so I don't think thats what they are.

Sadly, my clean legged chick died so I guess we'll never know what it is.
The buff cochin bantam sounds right for one of them and maybe wheaton maran for the other but don't some marans have clean legs? Does it make a difference if they have feathered or clean legs?
Any other guesses for the wheaton maran type one?

I still think #1 is probably also a Cochin.
As for the Marans, yes they can have clean and feathered legs (though I think feathered shanks are preferred, but I don't breed them so I don't know). I still think your chick isn't brown enough to be a wheaten Marans, but maybe you should post your picture up on the Marans thread and see what they think?
