I am
400
new to chickens and I have found this interesting so I wanted to share and ask if other chicken owners have run into the same thing. I have noticed when I spend time with my girls they do not like it when my hair is down. Lol. It has to be pulled back. They do not come near me when my hair is down but if it is pulled back the follow me around the yard and often roost on me. I thought this was strange and have continued to test my hypothesis. With this said I was wanting to know if anyone else has had a similar experience. Have your chickens given you a dress code?

The only dress code my girls have established is:
Mom must have bread, garden trimmings, scratch, leftovers......in other words.....FOOD!

And they don't care what I am wearing as long as I have something for them!

Yes that helps too! My girls are very different, they don't like the typical hanging lettuce, meal worms, worms, strawberries, tomatoes, bananas. So far they don't like anything that is too juicy. They wipe there beaks and walk away, it is hilarious. I wonder if they are broken chickens? :p
No just teasing they are just quirky lol. They do like watermelon and oatmeal and that is about it.
Thank you for sharing about your chickens.

My chickens don't appreciate it when I go out there in my fluffy PJ pants... They demand the dignity of me being fully dressed for the day before I interact with them.

The last time I wore the fluffy pants in the yard, none of them would come near me!

Ahhh Haa So i am not the only one. LOL that makes me giggle! They demand classiness : > Who knew chickens could be so haughty and demanding!? I just get a kick out of it.

My friends house chickens (bantams) have a fit if she comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her wet hair.
