I got my now seventeen week old chicken as a chick at our local hardware store. He/she was labeled as a golden comet, but as he/she grew up we thought he/she looked kind of like a leghorn. We went back to the hardware store to ask if he/ she was possibly a leghorn but they said that he/she wasn't, because they got the shipment of leghorns at a different time that they got the shipment of golden comets. Is it possible that the hatchery that the hardware store got the chicks from, accidentally got a couple of leghorns mixed in with the golden comet shipment. Or do you think that he is a male golden comet.
