Runt duckling?

So I just got my 5 ducklings a few hours ago from the mail, and they all seem fine except one. The smallest is just sitting there and not moving, peeping like crazy. The others are pecking at him and trampling him, yet he won't drink or eat much at all. I already tried sugar water and I'm afraid he won't make it... Help?

Did you give him some vitamins? That should help give him a boost. I'd also remove him immediately if he's being tramped and pecked by the others, poor little guy!

The thing is, he starts peeping like crazy if i remove him. I gave him a hand warmer and he fell asleep and seemed to calm down, so we'll see how it goes.

How is the duckling?

Unfortunately, some ducklings don't make it. And it is probably for the best, really. If there is something wrong with it (developmental defect, etc.), it isn't going to grow up to have a good life, if it grows up at all.

Sadly, the little guy died yesterday after having him for a few hours. Still not sure what was wrong; I'm guessing he had some problems upon arrival and since he was so tiny, it was probably for the best

If I order 30 ducklings, I usually get 31 or 32, and end up with 30 after about a week. I think it is pretty normal to lose a small percentage.
