First time incubator...humidity question!!!

YAY IT'S DAY 7!!!!!!!!!!! My oldest son and I candled our 36 eggs today while the little guys were napping. We have 18 eggs with embryo movement and 2 eggs that are questionable. The two that we aren't sure on were pretty dark shelled so it was hard to see if there was an embryo but we did see some veins so I put them back in the incubator. A few of the ones that were bad had a very defined red ring around them. I opened all the eggs up to see what was inside. Most of them were just not fertile but the few that had developed a little were pretty neat to look at. Very happy I could share that with my boy too! He loved it! Unfortunately all the pretty green eggs were not fertile and just had yolks inside with no white bullseye. They were the ones I really wanted to hatch too! Oh well, better luck next time with the colored eggs right? Overall I'd say 20 eggs out of 36 for our first time incubating is pretty good!!!

UPDATE!!!! Yesterday was day 10 so I candled our eggs again. 6 out of the 20 that were developing look like they might be quitters. Hopefully they were just resting and that's why I didn't see any movement from them but I'll check them again on Monday(day 14). I wish it was time for lockdown already...I'm getting anxious to meet my little mystery chickies!!! Also I've noticed that the humidity is creeping down. Yesterday it was 29% and this morning it's 25% Should I be worried it's dropping?

I wanted to update this. Yesterday the eggs started pipping and at about 130am three babies had hatched! There are still 14 eggs left to go but only one more is pipped. Yay babies!

My eggs all hatched out around August 7-10th, I wish I could post some pictures, but I seem to be having a problem uploading them.

Hatch day for me is tomorrow but nit holding out much luck as have had the power off all day today as well as last week!!! I put the incubator near the fire and moved the eggs (**** I forgot I shouldn't touch them!!!). I had 36 eggs to start with...... I'll be happy if 2 hatch :D:D

Thanks!!! yay for hatching eggs!!!! The remainder of my eggs didn't hatch, they all were dead. Fully formed and everything but they were not in the proper position to pip internally :( I'm wondering if it's due to me moving them on Friday(lockdown day). Maybe that could have effected their positioning?

Thank you!!!! I also had 36 eggs to begin with and ended up with only 3 chicks! It's ok though because I have some partridge brahma chicks arriving today! Good luck with your babies!
