Ameraucana Variety - White or Splash?

We have a 4H show coming up and Liam (Owen's 6 year old brother) wants to show "Snow Ball" as one of his confirmation birds. Snow Ball is a 15 week old Ameraucana. We are pretty sure she came from a BBS pen, I need to get a hold of the breeder to confirm. We know Splash is not a recognized variety and that is unimportant to Liam (she would show in the barn yard variety class). We are trying to determine what variety she is for the upcoming show. She is all white in color, but I am guessing that since she is from a BBS pen, she is would be considered a Splash???

She is a she. we have 20 or so Ameraucana's and the boys are certainly boys and girls are certainly girls at this point.

In the past we have wondered about age, but this is our third show and as long as they are not doing chick chirps they are old enough to show (at least around here).
 
4-H entry forms are less concerned with exact color than they are with the number of pens and what class. Put in what you think and speak with the superintendent when you drop the bird off.

Our fair allows young birds in at 16 weeks at the time of fair, so a 15wo bird would be fine when fair roles around.

I think the issue is if she is a white she will show in AOSB class and if she is splash she will be in the Barnyard class. The entry form wants to know. Since she is from a BBS pen, I will just put her down as Splash. She will be about 17-18 weeks at fair time.
 
If your fair is small enough (our county fair is) then you can probably change that with the superintendent as you learn more, even as late as drop-off. Again, number of pens is the most important, then class, then breed, then variety.

Anyway, if your son is 6yo, he is in Primaries and unless he is entering the bird as Open Class, he will only get a participation ribbon. It's nice to know the coloring for Fitting and Showing, but then if a 6yo started talking to the judge about the difficulties of classifying the color, and that Splash is not an accepted color, and therefore what class the bird should be entered in..... etc etc.... the judge would be blown away!
