Hi

I'm rather new to keeping chickens & saw my two rumpless araucana have a brief 'feet fight'. I'm starting to think that at least one of them is a rooster. Moreover the pure white is very protective over the others.
I do hope the farmer sexed them properly as i bought them only 2 weeks ago...

As for the brown chicken it was sold to me as a wyandotte...i'm not too sure about that either as i know of brahma that look just alike... Any ideas on that? :)

How old are the Aracauna? The brown one is definitely female, as males won't come in that pretty soft brown color. The white one doesn't look male right off, but a better pic of the bird in profile and a comb shot would help confirm, as well as knowing age.

Your pretty brown hen doesn't look like a Brahma, they have nice feathered legs. If she has a rose comb, I'd second the buff colombian Wyandotte.

Thanks for the answers!
Yes the brown hen has a rose comb.
As for the araucana, i was told they'd start laying in 1-2 months...the guy couldn't tell me the exact age :/

Here's a pic of the white araucana:

Hmm not managing to upload the pic 4 the moment...will try again later!
