How soon can I give chopped apple etc to chicks, Mine are 3 weeks old.
Thoughts on feeding 3 week olds chopped apple?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!
It is best to wait til they are about 6 weeks of age before giving treats, however if you keep this treat as a very tiny portion of their diet, it is ok. Just chop it up into very tiny pieces so they don't choke on them. You will need to add grit to their diet if you are feeding foods other than their chick starter. Just put some grit or even some silty dirt into a small cup or bowl and they will help themselves as needed

As early as a week you can give them soft treats such as oatmeal and egg. Once they reach 6-8 weeks they can eat other treats. Just know that most chicks won't seem interested in treats until about 10 weeks.
