I am new to this site so bear with me!! ;) I have always ordered my chicks from Sand Hill Preservation Center and I love them but would like to add another line. Don't want to use a big hatchery, I want to find another old fashioned place that has great, rare, true to breed standard chicks. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions! :)

I looked them up, but I cant find what current breeds they have. I found a list from several years ago and they didn't have Delaware's. I'm looking for Delawares, Dominiques & Barred Hollands. Thanks!!

I've held off responding to this post because I'm not aware of any Mom and Pop hatchery that carries the specific breeds you're looking for, but since hardly anyone seems to be responding, I thought I might as well toss in a hatchery for consideration. They don't carry the specific breeds you are wanting, but if you ever decide to look into getting another breed, or breeds (or if anyone else out there is looking for a Mom and Pop hatchery, I would suggest Dunlap Hatchery in Caldwell, ID (http://dunlaphatchery.net/). I don't know whether or not they are technically a Mom and Pop hatchery, but they are a smaller family owned hatchery that has been in business for many years. I have ordered chicks from them on several occasions and have been very happy with their birds and service. The family there at Dunlap is very friendly and helpful and I have never lost a chick in shipping from them (I can't say that about the three larger hatcheries that I've ordered from). If they happen to have the specific breeds that you are looking to purchase, they are definitely worthwhile.

Thank you!! I meant a family owned hatchery, just didn't want to use a HUGE hatchery. I will definitely see what breeds they have! Thanks!
