Hi, My name is Debbie Fournier and I live in Littleton, Colorado. My 13 year old daughter, Piper had this brilliant idea almost a year ago - have backyard chickens. After loads of research (90% of which brought us to BackYardChickens.com) picking our breeds, building our new Eglu Go Up and building a homemade brooder, we purchased our little flock. We bought 3 - day old chicks from MyPetChicken; a Golden Buff Red Star, Blue Ameraucana and a Blue Favaucana. With those on order we found a week old Cream Legbar about a two hour drive south of us. A few short weeks later they already give us so much pleasure. A seriously great idea - pets with great benefits!
