My rooster attacks me and I don't know what to do! He doesn't attack me when my fiancé is around but whenever I try to collect eggs he starts charging after me! He runs away when I try to show him I'm Alfa but I don't want to deal with this! I have to bring a stick in the fence area with me to get eggs or fill up the outside water! I don't want to get rid of him either because I've had him since he was 3 days old! Please help thank you!

The simple answer if you are truly afraid of this roo would be to cull him. With that said, I can see that you are attached somehow because you raised him from a chick. BUT! His behavior will most likely increase in intensity as he continues to mature, and you may have a hellion on your hands soon enough. If you have children you should definitely consider culling him, especially if you are not a breeder and need to use him....your call my dear! Tough decision I know...Wishing you well...

How about throwing him a treat to get him away from the eggs and you?
I had one go a bit aggressive but I just used to pick him up and carry him around until he gave up
Its awful when you can't turn your back in on them, be a shame to cull him

Luckily I don't have kids. I will try to film it! I was going to go in there everyday and have my fiancé hide so the rooster can't see him and when the rooster goes after me he will run in there and go after him. It worked today, when we tried it. But after when I went to collect a hen that was out he went after me through the fence so I kicked the fence and he ran away from me. I just don't want to be scared when I go in there if my fiancé isn't home!

Try to resist impulse to chase him. Arrangement you describe has your fiance dominant over rooster and you subordinate to rooster. Rooster sees himself with a position in a pecking order where he can impact the behavior of others (humans). My suggestion is you take that line of thought away from him. Observe who he can influence by changing his behavior and note it is only other animals. Also note he does not behave in such ways towards non-living parts of the environment. With my birds, I strive to have birds not regard me as something they can manipulate, especially through aggression. This means he does not cause a response from me regardless of his actions, especially when his actions involve aggression.

To help put this in perspective. My birds are exceptionally good natured. This can be changed by two methods. First is by giving one to someone else that reacts to birds as if they are afraid of them. The second is by my behaving as you and your fiance have done. The aggressiveness can be reversed either way but it takes a change first on the human side of the equation.
