Cat problem, I need a fix

Okay, now we're getting some ideas. Thank you ladies. I'm not offended in any way by your comments. I DON'T want to kill the cats. I like cats. I just don't like cats killing my chickens.

I think there is some confusion… my COOP is predator proof to my knowledge, nothing gets in if the pop hole is closed. It's my RUN that's not predator proof apparently, so obviously I have to close the pop hole every night, which isn't my desire. But I'll do what I have to do until I can strengthen my run.

At this point I think I'm going to get a wildlife camera and try to get some pictures of these cats to show to the neighbor. I don't want to create a difficult situation with them as they've been friendly and helpful in the past, even going to court with me as witnesses when they caught the other neighbor's dogs killing 11 of my chickens.

If it does ever come to killing the cats, I would choose a humane way to do it, and asphyxiation or drowning would not be things that I would consider.

In other news, a new predator showed up last night and tried to get my broody hen (that I'm trying to break) that is staying in a small outdoor covered run. It was trying to dig underneath, and I suspect a fox, though we've never seen them around. Either that or dog, but again, I haven't seen a stray dog around either. This time it wasn't cat, that's obvious. Very strange. Any suggestions for a good wildlife cam?
if your planning on buying the came camera i would instead buy a decent electric fencer and run a hot wire or two around your run and house. takes care of cats and other predators

As an answer to those who say get animal control involved: our local animal control is worthless. The dog catcher stated on tv that he thinks the spay/neuter is bad--all animals should have the right to reproduce. Our elderly neighbor was trapped in her barn by some dogs and they wouldn't come out at all. I then called the sheriff and they said call animal control. I told them what AC had told me and they said too bad. So, I told them I'm going to shoot the dogs and they threatened to charge me with animal cruelty. Shoot, shovel and shut up,that's my policy now.

how about calling the media when those who are supposed to protect, refuse to protect and elderly person. usually its just one or two idiots that dont know anything in any department but you never know.
As far as calling animal control not something i would do. If the neighbor is friendly and YOU get authorities involved the neighbor will then likely be an enemy.

I dont have a problem here shooting ferel cats just did a third one the other day. Since these cats are feral barn cats. And keep bothering my cats. Ill help the population go down. All three have been males to. this One Was Very Agressive And Mangy Looking looks to have extra toes aswell which is inbred. :)

A neighbor who is refusing to do anything about his pets killing your pets already isn't friendly, whether or not hes polite to you.

Cats having extra toes has nothing to do with them being inbred.
