Two weeks ago, Ginger started limping. She was almost all the way better and back to walking normal when our flock was attacked by two dogs (Thursday). She has since been limping and it has become worse today. When she walks she drags her foot behind her. There are no outward signs of infection, wounds, broken bones, etc. Thoughts?
Also, she pooped and there appears to be two blood spots....
She is inside in a small crate. She is eating and drinking normally.

one of my first hens was given to me after the majority of the other pullets were killed in a dog attack, a week after the attack this hen quit walking, took about 3 months for her to begin walking again, i think in a way, it is a shock reaction. It may be what is going on, can you feel any damage to her hip or knee joints? maybe some rubbing or popping?

I cannot feel anything unusual. I have palpated her legs and the only thing I notice is that she does not have the roosting reflex in that foot and she holds that leg limp. Ugh. My EE hen was really badly injured and I have been treating her wounds 3x a day. .

what i did with jewel might work, add vitamins, nutridrench if you can, try exercising that leg to keep it limber, maybe 1/4 asprin which can work as an anti-inflamatory- she is eating ok?
