Blue (possibly a dark) Brahma Roosters - early summer 2015

So - I just realized that I listed this in the wrong area, I should have listed it in the chickens being 8 weeks & older! At some point in time. I will get the hang of this forum & posting thing! Too bad I can't move this without deleting everything. :-/

I wanted to add that after a lot of talking & debating, we've decided to keep the roosters & take them to a butcher when they get of age. I'm having a heck of a time finding people who actually want roosters, & with as many eggs as I plan on hatching, I know that I'll have a good amount. Instead of giving them away or selling them, we just figured we might as well keep them for ourselves (after all, we'll be doing the brooding anyway!). I'm probably going to keep 1 or 2 of the new roosters. I have high hopes of getting a mixture BLR brahma hatching eggs & duel purpose hatching eggs (similar coloring, only Cornish/Brahma/Wyandotte mix). I'm considering keeping a rooster from both sets for future breeding to get my flock to the size/type/personality that I want. That being said, 1 of my 3 dark brahma roosters will need to find a new home, & it's probably going to be Popeye. I bought him, as well as his half brother Peter, from a breeder in NY in 2013, so he'll be 2 years old next Spring. The reason why I'm choosing him & not one of the other 2 is because Aragorn is a year younger, & Popeye is the less dominate one between him & Peter & I want to keep that dominate attitude rooster. None of my boys are aggressive by any means at all, they all stay together & don't fight, nor have they ever offered to go after a person. Popeye is a really good boy, but I can only have so many roosters, & have to make some decisions. Younger, different coloring, & different size & type are more important for my future flock.

I know one person has shown interest, but I want to keep my options open, so if someone wants a dark brahma rooster, let me know & I'll keep you in mind.

We have one red splash brahma roo left now. I would love to get a few more lovelies this spring (blue, lavender, yellow etc.), please add me to your "interested" list. Thanks
