Hi everyone, I'm Cortney from PA. My kids and I have had chickens for years, various kinds of brown egg layers and now some easter eggers too. We have a beautiful Jersey Giant rooster who is so gentle. He's my pride and joy. We also have guineas and ducks. I just put my first group of eggs in the incubator. We hatched two chicks a couple weeks ago so now it's time to do a large group. I have read different topics on here from time to time and decided I might as well make it official and be a member. Your site has been so helpful already. I look forward to sharing my new babies in November when they hatch.

Welcome to BYC, Cortney. Glad you decided to join our flock. Raising chickens is a great experience for children. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loves our chickens. Her favorites are our Easter Eggers. She loves their colored eggs. We used to have some Black Jersey Giants some years ago, and they were truly gentle giants.
