My family and I were debating which is the best movie trilogy ever made, and we were curious which trilogy BYC members think is the best trilogy, so I decided to create this poll and find out. I realize that there are some excellent movie trilogies that are not included on this poll (examples: Iron Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park, Shrek, The Terminator, Mad Max, The Godfather, The Dollar Trilogy, etc.), but since I had to limit the number of choices on the poll, I have listed those trilogies that were either the best box office draws or made most internet top ten trilogy lists. Just cast your vote for the best trilogy in your opinion (only one vote per BYC member), and explain in a post why you think it is the best trilogy ever made. Thanks.

I have to vote for The Lord of the Rings trilogy even though you listed a lot of my favorites. The LOTR stories were among my favorite books when I was in high school (ok, a long time ago); it was such a pleasure to see the stories brought to life with New Zealand's beautiful scenery and great acting. Plus, one of my relative's worked on the computer animation so that made it fun to see what he spent 2 years working on.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is my personal favorite (although some others are close), but not everyone in my family agrees with me (although they all like LOTR). We would all agree with you that the New Zealand scenery is breathtaking. I've been blessed to be able to do quite a bit of foreign travel, but I've yet to visit New Zealand. I hope I can do so one of these days.

New Zealand would be such fun! My cousin's son that was working on the movie flew his parents there for a couple weeks and they said it is breathtaking.

I had to give some consideration to the other trilogies you polled. We like movies and have seen most of them you listed. All were good!
