Made these two totes today. My sewing machine hated it! Went through 4 needles!

Very nice. I made only one in past. What type/size needle did you use? I used a heavy duty needle - one meant for jeans, a #16, I think. And used a long stitch length and didn't break a needle. If you are planning to try it again, try jeans, upholstery type needle?
