A few days ago I was given six fertile eggs to place under my hen, who had started to go broody again only a day before. She has been consistently sitting on her eggs since then, but I have questions about this:

1. Is it possible that she will eventually stop being broody before the eggs hatch, meaning that she will not sit on them all day anymore?
2. Is it possible that she will stop incubating the other eggs if one of them hatches?

Thanks in advance.

Both are possible... All depends on the hen. Most sit long enough to hatch all the viable eggs, some don't. It ok if she gets off the eggs sometimes... Some do get up and stretch and eat, poop and drink, some get up to let the eggs cool a bit if it's too warm... Some never seem to move. Hope that helps.
