2 chicks! They look like girls. 1 egg to go. Neat how they just jack hammer around. Hope the 3rd hatches!

Awww.Well, the 3rd egg didnt make it. It looked like a fully formed chick, but mal-positioned and maybe a little shrink wrapped.
We do have 2 girls. Pretty little chipmunks. Mommy seems pretty stubborn on the nest, so we took the chicks out and dipped their beaks in the water. Both drank. I put a little dish of food in the box and mom seemed to try to teach them to eat. Both chicks are strong and very alert.
