So last February I got the opportunity to get in touch with a local hatchery who would breed your own custom breed. (New idea they had) what they had done was they took 3-5 breeds that were similar and had complimentary qualities and the end product was what they called their stock birds. So basically the stock breeds were only bred with very similar breeds so that you would still get a good bird. So my chicks were bred by 3 stock birds---1 White brown egg laying dual purpose clean leg---2 buff brown egg laying clean leg egg bird---3 white white egg clean leg layer bird and so the resulting bird is a very light white color with clean legs red comb yellow legs and it lays 5-6 extra large brown eggs every week. Feedback would be appreciated and I was wondering how much you would ask for chicks out of these birds thanks- Will

I don't know what all they bred into their stock born I just know how they did it. The stock birds I had bred are only available at that hatchery during the spring and they only breed a few thousand. Somebody in Germany buys a lot of the stock birds there...let me try to find out what the name of the hatchery is. I can't remember off the top of my head
