Making plans before getting your flock is the way to do it….but expect the unexpected. Articles and books will all tell you to get the coop started early… and build larger than what you think you need. Believe them. If you are planning on baby chicks, start with learning about how to care for them and get the brooder necessities ready before you think you will need them. Start the coop by the time you get them. They grow so fast.

Feel free to ask questions. And have fun planning, the real fun starts when you get your chickens.
