Niacin deficiency affecting nearly adult muscovy?

I'm confused. I have dealt a great deal with niacin deficiency in ducklings, and I had originally thought that they're pretty much safe once they reach the point where they're basically adults. But one of my male muscovies that had suffered from niacin deficiency when he was younger seems to be afflicted again. He's a little over 5 months old. Is this possible? What is the age in which possible niacin deficiency isn't an issue anymore?

Did you keep him on the niacin until 10-12 weeks old? It maybe that he is just one that doesn't process it well enough in his body and may need it the rest of his life. I buy animals grade brewers yeast and add to my fermented feed 2X a week for all my adults. Are you sure he didn't injure his legs some how? is it both or just one?
 
It's just the one, and it's definitely niacin deficiency because I started him on niacin and he returned to normal. I've decided I'm just going to give it to him regularly until I feel he is fully grown, maybe once his mask comes in completely. It's still weird though, don't you think?
 
If your haveing continual Niacin deficiencies in your flock you should probably change something in there diet and probably consider haveing a vet know your situation with your ducklings. if at least 3 ducklings in your next batch show signs of this illness, i would bring them to a vet to get checked out, that is ,unless you know why this keeps occuring.
Last time i had a duck with this we took it out of the gene pool ,or well a fox did, and it went away havent had a problem with it sense then.

none of this probably made sense im just rambling.

No, that's my fault -- I definitely didn't specify that they were wild. Sorry about that. And saying "I've dealt a lot with duckling with niacin deficiency" does sound like I am a breeder/hatcher!
