Is the brown actual feather color, or just dirt that will wash off? If the feather shows brown, then technically, that is a DQ since it is a foreign color. The only "foreign" color allowed in white birds is a slight gray ticking, provided the grey isn't in the shaft of a primary or secondary wing feather.

The feather may grow back white, or it may not. I once had a White Wyandotte bantam hen with black/gray in one of her wing feathers. I pulled the feather, and it grew back in pure white. However, I've done the same thing to another white bird and the feather that grew back was similar to the defective feather. The only way to know what will happen with your bird is to try pulling the feather.I
