Rooster having seizures?

I have two roosters that for years now I have been bring them in at night and put them on the sofa. they just sit there quietly while I clean the house have dinner and watch a movie. then at night before I go to bed I put them in their room. lately though I've noticed that one of them falls off the sofa. I would have to come into the room picking up from the floor and put them back on the sofa. I did not understand why he was falling off the sofa. Last night I held him while I watched a movie and noticed he would slightly spread his wings then start shaving and making some clucking sound and start to tip over. I would hold him in the blanket to keep him from falling off me. he did that several times to throughout
 
Throughtout the night. I only seem to notice it at night. during the day acts normal. do chickens have seizures? is there any supplement I can give him or anything I can do to prevent it from happening?
 
wow I have never seen this and we have had about 40-60 chickens all year round...not really sure whats happening....good luck I would say google it and listen to peoples advice on here and come up with your own solution
 
I did search the forum and googled it. apparently chicken and other birds can have seizures. however the root of the cause seems to be hard to determine. No one seems to offer a treatment. I give him a vitamin supplent used for show birds when they are stressed and for sick or weak birds. I do not know what else to do except make sure he eatsAnd drinks enough water.

How long do his seizures last? Does this happen every night? How is the lighting in the room? Sorry for all of the questions, I may think it's some sort of epilepsy from the tv making different lights and flashes.
 
There have been some threads here in the past on BYC where chickens have had seizures for no apparent reason. Since seizures, wry neck, and other things like loss of balance are neurological in nature, vitamins are always good to try. In some cases there could be dehydration from hot weather, being kept from water, or illness that has caused diarrhea, it could be a fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Save-A-Chick and other commercial mixes can be tried, and those contain both vitamins and electrolytes. They last only a few seconds, enough to make him fall off the couch.the room is dark. Happens wether I have the tv on or not. No other symptoms like neck twisting, diarreah, etc.

I gave him a vitamin supplement during the day and also I have him on save a chick electrolytes in the water. Hasn't been too hot since
 
Since the seizures started. the thing is he seems perfectly fine during the day. eating fine drinking fine. I don't use any chemicals in the yard. on the weekends I'm 24 /7 with them.
 
I am at a loss as to what could be causing it. I have been doing some research and nothing seems to give me the right answer
