Do Drakes make Hens calmer/nicer?

My ducks are with my chickens and yes they definitely keep the place wet, however the chickens when they rooster they are above the ground so all good here.

Personally, I think the more you handle them the Calmer they are going to be. The only thing I can see the drake doing is being the leader of the clang and keeping the females close to him and away from the chicken..
