I have placed in warm water, massages with baby oil and Vaseline. Still no egg. Had her in the tub. She refused to stand up. Put a towel down on the bottom oftib to help her grip better. She is refusing to eat. Kind of drank the bath water. Please help

Check inside the vent with a gloved finger 1 inch or so, to check for an egg. If you feel and egg, give her a calcium tablet or Tums crushed in yogurt or food, once, as calcium or dehydration can cause egg binding. Place her in a bathroom sink on a towel with the shower on warm to heat and humidify the room, so you don't have to keep giving a warm bath. Here are some links to read about egg binding.

Thank you. I will keep trying. The information you sent helped a lot. I put her in her own box with food and water before I left for work. She has a dark blanket covering the box. I will try the shower thing. Thank you for all of your help.

As long as you will go as far as to insert a finger 1 inch, you may just insert it all the way. My hen had an egg stuck a lot higher than an inch one time.

I am going to pick up some k y jelly tonight on my way home and calcium liquid drops. I think the health food store should have it. I just dont know what else to do.

Im really scared about what I am going to find when I get home. I should do the feeding tube but its just me who is providing the medical care and I dont want to do the wrong thing. Im really not steady handed and I dont want to put fluids down the wrong tubing in the chicken's throat.

I know how you feel. I would say start with the examination. If you feel an egg, what I've done is take oil or Vaseline and keep going around the egg where it's stuck and little by little unstick it. It took me about an hour with breaks.

If not egg bound, feel her abdomen and feel if it is heavy and full or loose like fluid but heavy.

I couldn't find any calcium liquid drops. But i picked up yogurt.... from another suggestion... any other advise?

All I am finding in calcium supplements has other things added to it. Do I go ahead and get the one with the added in bine health things as well? magnesium, and other minerals?
