"Stop what?" asked Sean and Maisie in unison. Maisie glared at him. He gave her a look that she knew well: the don't-you-dare-say-"Hey!-Stop-saying-what-I'm-saying!" look.

Ari and Bri watched quietly from the side of their house, half hidden by the shadows the house made around them. Neither was sure what to make of this guy or why he seemed to be hurting just because they were there.
 
Against his will, tears streamed out of Ventus' eyes. Once all the people were far enough away for him to get a bit of his bearings, he took out a small flask and a handful of pills, taking them all. These were some strong painkillers that helped with his head a bit. Although, in about an hour or two he would be vomiting his stomach out. Just one of the many side effects of the medicines. Now, if he got close to the others, it would only feel like a knife was jiggling around in his head, instead of his head exploding.

Ari and Bri stood quietly, watching him take the pills and drink from the flask. Neither would approach until he came towards them or spoke to them, not wanting to cause him anymore pain than they had seen him in already. They looked over to their neighbors then back to Ventus again, wondering about him
