We are considering moving. The house that we might be moving to is about 45 minutes away from our existing home. We have a 8x10 foot chicken coop that me and my dad built together. It is a chicken tractor. Is there any possible way to bring it with us??? Thanks for your time!

Hire someone with a flat bed. I had a 12' x 8' x 12' moved by flat bed. It cost me 300 bucks but the coop had cost over 1,000 to build so I was not leaving it behind! My move was not exactly "legal" (6 inches too tall) but found a local who knew every back/dirt road to take the whole way. I am not suggesting for you to do that......but if it's small enough to be legal they may agree to it. Good luck!

Thanks! All we have is a horse trailer. I'd hate to leave it behind but I don't know if my parents would spend that much money just to move it. One can only hope. Thanks for all your help!

Yes, it is mobile. We move it around the yard all the time. It is enormous for a chicken tractor though.

Ok! That is a good idea. Does Home Depot rent out flat beds? Thanks so much for all your help!!! I really appreciate it.

You might check Craigslist as well. Around here, there are a ton of guys with various types of trucks that will move stuff for you for very reasonable rates (I think I paid $100 for a guy with a lift gate to move my antique stove from 30 min away).
