Hi,My incubator is styrofoam and I was wondering if I put two 40 watt bulbs in it if it would be way to quick to heat up?
The incubator is 15" wide by 20" long and 1ft deep and I hope to have a wafer thernostat in the incubator.
Thanks in advance.

Try it. Run your incubator for 2 or 3 solid days of testing before ever considering placing eggs in it. I use a few small water bottles to simulate the bio mass of two dozen eggs while testing.

Be sure to place two thermometers in the box while testing, watching carefully what each is reporting. They may disagree a bit on what the temp is.

You didn't say, but i'm assuming you have a circulation fan, possibly a computer fan to move the air?

Fred's Hens has given you some good advice! It doesn't hurt to try and see if it works; if it ends up working, you have a useful incubator. If not, you haven't invested a lot of time in it and can get another incubator.
