Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Sorry to hear you only had 12 hatch out of your 36 eggs :hugs There can be so many reasons as to why only 12 hatched and that some made it to full term but didn't hatch. For example temperature, humidity, turning of the eggs, egg quality, storage of the eggs prior to setting them in the incubator, even the parent birds health and feeding can play a factor in hatch rates. Here is an excellent article all about incubation/hatch failures https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/egg-failure-to-hatch-diagnosing-incubation-problems

Wishing you the very best of luck with your future incubating. Hope you enjoy BYC :frow

Welcome

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your eggs. I hope the information from Yorkshire coop helps and that your surviving chicks enjoy a thriving start.
