Why and what in the world is he doing?

My 2 week old EE rooster(I think), is trying to MATE MY HAND!! I get them out everyday and play with them, and he has started jumping in my hand, squats and spreads out lowering himself, and will rock back and forth(the way they will try to balance on the hen). He will clamp down on my finger with his beak, the same way the male will bite the hens neck during mating. Is this normal for chicks that young?!! Does this mean he is already trying to show dominance over me? Has anyone ever had this happen and did yours turn out to be very aggressive? It's just him and 1 other chick in the brooder, and he doesn't do this to the other chick.

Man that's funny! I have only had chickens for two years and have raised 106 chicks and have never had that. Will be interested in seeing what more experienced people have to say

I know! It is funny!! But that is exactly what he is doing. Everyone probably thinks I'm crazy. Hoping someone will come along and tell me I'm not. Lol

You're not crazy. I've had a couple of little cockerel do this. I typically keep a hair tie on my wrist (I have long hair, its gets annoying sometimes). I few years ago I had a standard Cochin cockerel that would grab the hair tie and mount my hand. I'd just push him off and give him a light thump with my fingers. He eventually quite :gig

X2. What is cute and funny when they're babies can be a real problem later (think bitey puppy). He may grow out of it, he may not. I would suggest what Funky says and give him a couple of head pecks with your finger (gotta speak chicken) until he gets the message.
