Thanks a ton for all the info!!! I am planning on having a roof on my coop and it will have hardware cloth around it to protect from ground based predators. I am still designing my coop so right now I am just soaking everything up as I draw and re-draw plans. There are so many different theories on what is right for Chickens that it is getting pretty overwhelming. I actually started to build one coop (cut into one 4x8 plywood board) and then read another thread on BYC so scrapped it and went back to the drawing board... I am currently fighting the "chicken needs vs urban backyard space" battle!
