We would like to purchase some guinea keets but I'm not keen on having them shipped. Does anyone know where I could find or where I should look? I really only want 2-3.
I live in Northwest Ohio.

Hi there! I actually breed guineas and am from central Ohio, about 1 hour north of Columbus. I'll be hatching some keets a little later this spring. I have buff dundotte, coral blue, lavender, and pearl grays. PM me if you'd like

I wouldn't limit it to just 2-3 guineas. They will do better and cause less trouble if there's more. I would start with 6 minimum.

How do you introduce a new guinea to the flock? An adult flock? I want to raise some keets, how difficult are they to raise in a brooder, not with a broody hen? thanks

I've never had trouble raising them in a brooder. Keets are pretty much the same as raising chicks in that area. As for introducing them, I keep them separate until they're big enough to range and introduce them for short amounts of time under my supervision. My adults are always scared of the keets at first, then pick on them a little, but quickly take them under wing. It's pretty comical really!
