Yes. My husband reinvented the chicken waterer. Here is a pix of the new waterer. It consists of a piece of plastic pipe about 1.5 inch in diameter x length to fit your situation. Must trim away the plastic shavings so the chickens don't eat them. Put a plastic screw clean-out plug at the far end. Use a large elbow at the water supply end. Gatorade bottles are more substantial than soda bottles. Install one vertical 1/2 inch pipe next to the bottle. Use plastic ties to secure pipe to the side of the cage/wall. Note: pipe must be level or the water will empty out albeit slowly. Fill bottle, invert into elbow. This should not be a tight fit.Like a dog waterer, more comes down as the chickens drink. The nipple waterers are good but you need special tools to put them onto a pipe. I flush this about every 7-10 days. During freezing weather, open the clean-out fitting and the water will drain out. We will install the nipple type inside the chicken house using heater tape to prevent freezing. Note this coop has not floor. We move it to a new spot every 24 hours to a new patch of grass. After 7 days the grass returns to normal and is fertizlized. Note the feeder. Use Harris farms feeder (10 pounds) with bonnet over feeding area. Keeps birds in feeder, keeps rain out and keeps birds from climbing on feeder. Use pie tin for a top. Birds will eat aluminum foil. Absolutely no waste of feed using this feeder!
