Bobs have many different noises they make. Have you heard them giggle yet? LOL The male will giggle when he finds something tasty to eat. He will stand high on his toes and flare his feathers and giggle. LOL

I am the proud owner of two Bobwhite quail, one male and one female. I started with three, however the other two I got for my girl to have company ended up both being male and the smaller make began to really bully my female, as she chose the larger malr as her mate. I removed the aggressive smaller male, and within a few days she was back to normal and a couple days after he was gone, began to lay her first eggs. Now the males were a bit younger than my female, and all are young. It is September and almost October and she is laying eggs. I hold my girl all the time and pet them both. But mine are not outdoors, they are in with me in a hutch house thing that I customized with a bottom and fake grass with a supply of real grass and weeds being roasted out every so often. They have covered the entire bottom with seed and stuff, and are quite comfortable. I feed them meal works and put enfamil infant vitamin drops without iron in their water, and give them crushed oyster shells for calcium. I have also added a few heat lamps and a heat Rock. And they haven't even had a first spring yet. So it's all about how comfortable and happy they are, and health in my eyesThank you!! I'll keep that in mind, and try my best to be a great bob owner!
