Hello everyone. First let me say what a WONDERFUL site, I just love it!! I joined back in April and have been reading posts almost everyday since then. The info here is better than any book in my opinion. ;-)
A little about us, we are a family of 5, 1 German Shepard, 2 indoor Persian kitties, 2 outside kitties, and 37 chickens and growing. The breeds we have are Cochins(blue, white & partridge), English Orpingtons (black and lavenders), Easter Eggers, Amerucana's, Black Copper Marans and a few others that I am not sure yet. ;)
My question is what is a good weed and grass killer that I can use around where my girls roam. I feed non gmo, non soy feed and they free range on about 3 of our 7 acres.
I have seen where some say vinegar or even baking soda? Does anyone have any experience with free ranging and wanting to stay non toxic?

Sorry my post is so long and Thank you in advance for any advice.

So glad you could join our community! This is the place to be for all the fun and learning.

You might ask this question in our Managing your Flock forums. I am not familiar with any of the grass or weed killers and what is safe...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/2/managing-your-flock

Enjoy all your poultry adventures and welcome to our flock!

I was going to just move your thread over there, LOL, but I figured everyone here would love to welcome you here to BYC.

And don't worry about posting in the wrong places. Lots of new members ask questions here. We don't mind! :)
