Has anyone started incubating coturnix eggs? I'm curious because I am incubating some too.

Well, I keep playing 'phone tag' with James Marie Farms....however once I get my eggs from them, I will be hatching Coturnix and raising Texas A&M and Tuxedos this year. It has been many years since I have raised quail, and I am excited to get back into it again.

I haven't raised this type of quail but I have raised different breeds of the bobwhites though

my eggs showed up this afternoon. I'll get them in the "bator" tomorrow.

I incubated 10 locally purchased coturnix eggs in a homemade still air incubator built from a styrofoam cooler. Its day 21 for 5 of the eggs and day 18 for the other 5. So far two eggs have hatched and one is struggling with wry neck or something. Hoping a few more hatch and are healthy. This is definitely harder than I thought it would be!!
