Chick hours old scooting on butt legs out in front!!!

I have a silkie mix chick that hatched about 4 hours ago. In the incubator it stumbled around fine like a normal newly hatched chick. I moved her to the brooder with the other chick that had hatched out. The second chick is fine and the first is not walking anymore. She's scooting on her bottom and flapping her wings instead. Her feet are out in front of her and she can move them but she doesn't put them under her. Could this be a vitamin deficiency?

Can't promise it will work but I had one do this the first hatch this year
I put it in a shot glass that forces it to stand on its legs. I did it overnight and stuck it back in the incubator that way. Id let it out a couple hours a day and then put it back. After 3 days and night of doing it, it no lonher had problems walking. That chick is now going to be 9 weeks old tomorrow and I couldn't tell you which of the ohiki it was.
 
I have never had one with the legs out front, sorry. I have had silkies doing splits. Did he get injured somehow? Sorry I don't have more for you here.
 
I wrote you on our thread..go read..I call this the paddle walk..it will be fine once it figures out it's balance on those new little legs. :)

You gave great advice..I also use the cup..or small glass at times when little legs are acting funny.

I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out if I hurt her when I put her in the brooder, if I did it too soon, if she could have been hurt by another chick, but nothing really stands out. I've done this a few times and I've never had a chick like this before. I have started giving her Poly Vi Sol (no iron).

She really doesn't need the vit. but, if you want to, you can give her again...a very tiny amount...just once a day. She will be fine.

I've actually got a Swedish flower chick2that wants to spraddle that's in a glass at the moment. Lol.

Sambi, poly vi sol is good stuff and will help keep the chick strong through this little hiccup.
