What is the hard yellow notch of feathers?

My two pekin Ducks have a small notch of yellow feather on the upper side off their tail. I don't know anything about duck anatomy; so I'm wondering is it their vaginas? Help I can't find anything with the answer!!
 
Preening gland. It produces the oils that give ducks their waterproofing. You'll see them rub their bill on the gland then rub around their body while grooming to spread the oils.
