Hi. We've had adult swans in our lake for a few years but never had babies. Some friends are giving us eggs from their swans so we can have some babies this year. We want to hatch them but have no clue where to start. What to look for in an incubator what temp etc. I've seen people posting about misting them. Helping them crack etc. I'm lost please help we want babies in the lake this year. Every time our friends let the babies hatch with their parents all the babies end up dieing we want to give them a good chance

If there are adult swans on the lake already there is a good chance they will kill the babies if you put them on the lake anywhere in their area. Swan are very territorial, which is why you typically only see one, our a breeding couple together at a time. I do believe the hatching 101 thread has some of the information you are looking for though if you wanted to try searching for it.

Yeah we are concentrating on getting them hatched first. But we've had other babies on the lake that the swans ignored and we are going to keep them separate until they are bigger.
