Post on GJF should add to your post count.

I don't really mind either way because I understand and have no biyst opinion for either side just saw the thread.

I'm responding because I voted no and you asked for opinions, so here is mine. You have valid points, however I do not believe they should be counted. Now, I used to use GJF frequently back when the posts did count, so I have always questioned this issue. To me, I don't think it's fair that long time members (or even helpful new members) who have really done a lot to help this community but may not have posted as much, lose their place on the top posters list to someone who may have just joined and has only really posted in the GJF section. Now I am not saying people who post in the GJF section are not helpful community members; many of them are. Some people just don't have as much time to spend in this section as others, or may only want to talk chicken, which also makes it unfair. Plus, there are users out there who use this section just to boost their post count. However, I also understand that most of them don't and just enjoy having fun with other users; I know this, I used to spend a lot of time on the GJF section and enjoyed it. However, I just think that not counting them is the fairer decision. This was only a recent change and I'm sure the admins did not make the decision easily.
But in the end, it's just a post count on an online forum... Whatever the admins decide to do, it surely is not the end of the world.

As always the Staff appreciates your views. The post count issue is a done deal and the decision was reached after much discussion.
