Thank you both! Goats are awesome critters to have along with chickens. I had goats for 4 years. After an unfortunate incident I had to move. While I prepared to have my goats at my new place, I moved them to my cousin land to eat it down. Well this was in spring last year, and a mother mountain lion came down with her cubs and taught them how to kill with my 8 goats as the practice.
I am still very heartbroken over it and other things ; ( .........but at least I still have my chickens. I enjoyed having goats a lot, so I plan on getting some more in the near-ish future. At least I can take my time building the goat area now. Well sorry for the long sad story. On another point, chicks are so fun to watch feather out. My chicks I bought are supposed to be swedish flower hens, but we shall see, the flock was quite a mix of breeds, cuckoo Marans, swedish flowers, jersey giants, and polish. So the chicks could be lil mixed surprises! . I figure I'll be able to tell if any are pure SFH.
