what is this trio?

We were told American game fowl bit that is one breed I am not aware of. Anyone able to confirm and additionally anyone able to tell the color? We got The trio for 50 today. A year and a half old. Thanks in advance!

They are American games.

The rooster is half grey half red. I am not sure if that's allowed in Greys.

It is not always easy to tell if hen is grey or red in their color pattern. It seems one hen is a red wheaten, the other could be grey or red.


The trio will throw reds and greys.

you can ask the seller if you want to know the specific line(s) these are.
 
Not necessarily a grey can be crossed down to an 1/8 or 1/16 and still look like a grey it's impossible to tell if half and half. Grey always dominate over red.
 
No not always.

The term Golden applies to roosters that show a blend of both grey and red. This rooster is a perfect example of Golden. Looka t the golden color on hackles and duckwing.

He is half and half for sure.
