I have a young quail pair who started mating and finally producing fertile eggs. One hatched this morning. I keep the pair inside at night in a pet carrier but during the day they have a pen outside with a more natural environment for them. Id like to know when it might be safe to put the babies that hatch in with the adult pair. Im expecting more to hatch over the next couple of weeks but I should not have more than 10 babies at the end of the incubator hatch.

When they are fully grown (past 8 weeks old), but they'll have to be properly introduced. They should be kept side by side in full sight of each other so they can communicate and begin to accept the fact the new birds aren't a threat to their food or territory. You should do that for a couple weeks, then move all of the birds to a cage none of them have been in before. This eliminates any of the birds trying to defend "their" territory. Corturnix can kill or maim each other pretty quickly so use caution and keep an eye out during the process.
