Does anyone know if my chickens I just got from tracker supply are vaccinated and I took there last 12 not known what sex they are does any one know the chance of getting some girls? Plz help the ones I got said unisex and should I get them there shots and if I don't can my family get sick

I'm not sure what tracker supply's vaccination policy is but if you got your chickens labeled pullets...that means they should be all female. If you got them labeled straight run...that means that there is a 50/50 chance of male/female.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! They are most probably not vaccinated, you can call the feed store and ask, but they almost never have their chicks vaccinated... usually the only thing the hatchery would vaccinate for is Mareks and maybe coccidia. X2, depends on what you bought, pullets should be 90%+ girls, straight run should be about 50/50 but it can vary either way.

No there is no chance of knowing if they are hens or roosters and they more then likely have not been vac.
