Cluck Cluck seems to have devolved a problem with her leg.
She is sitting funny and walking funny. How would I find out whats wrong - does it look like something that will get better on its own or do I need to find her a vet ?
Thanks

She has been avoiding standing up, and when she does its for a short period only. When sh walks she sort of jerks the leg rather than using it properly and as you can see in the picture she sitting with it out in front of her instead of tucked under like she always used to. I need instructions or questions to provide more information

I am not very familiar with how she should feel - but there is a definite difference between the legs,
and now she seems to only eat or drink if someone is holding her to relive the pressure off the legs

Look under the foot for a hard black core ( bumble foot ) . The paralysis could be a form of ataxia caused by a thiamine B1 deficiency, an injury, has she caught her leg in anything ? Or mareks. Botulism can cause paralysis as well. So it's a process of elimination.

You can give aspirin as a painkiller.

I'm fairly certain that she would have caught the leg on something out in the yard as there is lots there that she could and none of the others are showing any signs of being ill. I will go through the process to check the tendon tomorrow and see what I find.
